The vineyard

The soil is the color of brick, and it shows in the glass.

Jory soil is volcanic, iron rich and drains fast, so the vines dig deep. It gives our pinot its red fruit and the firm, dusty finish people remember. We pick by hand, ferment in small lots and bottle without filtering.

Oak barrels in a lit cellar
“We do less every year. Fewer additions, less new oak, more time in the barrel. The hill does the work.”
